Mom's advice & what it doesn't mean, ok?

ADVICE FROM THE YOUNG AT HEART

Ok so its famous to me cos I heard it growing up. But still it’s always good to share advice! Plus its good to know exactly what the quote Actually Means! Cos kids may misinterpret those bits of advice:

Always Powder Your Nose.

What Does it Mean? It Actually Means:

‘Your face is shiny and that’s just not nice for other people to see’

But it doesn’t mean:

‘If you keep your nose so bright, you might be called Rudolf and that’s just not nice’

OR

‘How on earth are you going to find a husband if your nose is so shiny??’

OR

‘The reflection of light is too bright. It might cause an accident’

Use Your Allowance Wisely.

What Does it Mean? It Actually Means:

‘If you use it all up in the first day, you’ll have nothing for the rest of the week’

But it doesn’t mean:

‘Don’t spend it on souvenirs for ungrateful friends!’

OR

‘Be like the Jedi Knight and spend it on a new Death Star....’

OR

‘You reaaaaaaly neeed that James Bond magnet...’

Don’t Talk To Strangers.

What Does it Mean? It Actually Means:

‘There are psychos out there who want to do bad things to you’

But it doesn’t mean:

‘I already married you off to a 6yr old boy way back when you were 2, so tough luck anyone else out there’

OR

‘Cos that’s what happened with Father and see what happened??? ARGH!’

OR

‘Cos I can’t keep hiding the dead bodies for you when you find out you don’t like him!’
